New climate cooling molecule found

New climate-cooling molecule foundLONDON, mastegar.com - Scientists have long predicted the existence of molecules to cool the Earth's weather. The existence of the molecule was finally successfully proved. Such molecules are called the Criegee biradikal.

Researchers from Manchester University, Bristol University, Sandia National laboratories and is a managed to prove its existence. They say that biradikal is able to oxidize the Criegee pollutants such as nitrogen dioxide and sulfur dioxide from burning.

The existence of these molecules is detected by use of synchroton light facilities in Advance of third generation Light Source at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.

The intense light and can be adjusted from synchroton it allows scientists to distinguish different types of isomers of the molecule, which consists of an atom of the same but have a different arrangement.

Based on research, biradikan Criegee react with pollutants sooner than predicted. This molecule is accelerating the formation of aerosols in the atmosphere to spur as well as the formation of clouds. This allows the molecule to function as a cooling of the planet.

"we have been able to support how fast biradikal Criegee reacted for the first time. Hail this gave a significant impact on our understanding of the oxidation capacity of the atmosphere as well as the wide implications on pollution and climate change, "says Carl Percival, University of Machester expert was quoted as saying, TG Daily, Monday (16/1/2012).

"Source biradikal the Criegee rearrangement is not dependent on sunlight, so the process can happen on the day and night," adds Percival.

And, now this molecule may also have served to protect our planet.

"The materials needed for the production of biradikal the Criegee rearrangement is derived from the chemical compounds that are released naturally by plants, thus significantly ecosystems play a role in preventing heating," said Shallcross Sudley from Bristol University.

If wished by the existence of the molecule man could go around forests and prevent membabat climate change with this cooler molecules, it seems it'll be done.
